Trainee Field Services Engineer

Location: Field-Based 

We have an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to develop their skills and knowledge to join our Aftersales and Service team as a Trainee Field Service Engineer.  As an integral member of the team, you will travel to customer sites to provide intervention support of Pyroban conversions in the field including breakdowns, warranty support, installations, and safety inspections.

You should already be proficient in maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and other materials handling equipment.  It is essential that you have a willingness to learn as you will be buddied with an experienced Field Service Engineer who will train you in Pyroban safety systems, forklift truck conversions and oil and gas engine packages.

As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge across a range of activities including but not limited to

• Identifying and resolving warranty issues.
• Installing Pyroban equipment and kits.
• Undertaking mechanical modification of electrical and diesel-powered equipment.
• Undertaking wiring modifications as per wiring diagrams.
• Conducting assessments of new system applications.
• Completing Pyroban annual safety audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Submitting written site reports providing detail on system and component failures.

In addition to having experience of forklift truck maintenance and repairs, you will be a good communicator, have excellent customer relations skills and have a proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach.  A desire to learn and be successful is imperative and you must be able to work independently of others, and as part of a team.  As the role is field based, you must hold a full, clean driving licence and be willing to travel and stay away from home on a regular basis. 

This is a field-based role involving a high degree of UK travel. We are flexible in terms of your location within the UK, however, being based in the Midlands would be highly advantageous.
