Permanent

Full-Time – 35 hours per week

Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 DOE plus Benefits package (including pension, 22 days paid holiday per annum and bank holidays plus 3 days for company shutdown over Christmas and New Year)

Home Based – this role will include UK national travel

About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Policy Advisor to join our friendly CEO team, to lead delivery on the latest skills policy information relating to the advanced manufacturing and engineering sector and help to build Enginuity’s reputation as a voice in engineering and skills policy through the building of networks and the production of policy materials.

 

What you’ll be doing

The Policy Advisor, reporting to the Head of Policy and Partnerships, will be responsible for researching and presenting findings and succinct insights into various key policy documentation to management and the wider team.  You will contribute to internal and external events related to skills policy as required and support the development of relationships with key advisors/civil servants and parliamentarians across the Governments of the 4 nations whilst identifying opportunities to align Enginuity’s products and services to emerging and existing skills policy.

 

What we’re looking for

You will have a proven track record of working within a policy, research or economic environment as well as proven skills in information gathering, report writing, drafting consultation documents and providing a succinct analysis of policy documents/research reports.  You will have an understanding and a broad grasp of key strategic issues and skills gaps facing the manufacturing and engineering sector and the skills policy landscape across the 4 nations.

You will be an excellent communicator with a successful track record of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and have the ability to engage, influence and contribute during meetings and events. 

 

Other skills which would be desirable however not needed to apply for the role

If you have previous experience working within a sector skills organisation this would be an advantage.
