Lead UX/UI Designer

12 months Fixed Term

Full-Time: 35 hours per week

Salary: £45,000 - £53,000 DOE + benefits package (including pension, 22 days paid holiday per annum and bank holidays plus 3 days for company shutdown over Christmas and New Year)

Home Based – this role will require occasional travel

About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity for a creative Lead UX/UI Designer to join our growing Enterprise Team within the Enginuity Group. The Lead UX/UI Designer is a key role within the Enginuity team, responsible for leading and designing software and web platforms with support from our preferred agency to create seamless customer experiences. This is an opportunity to really make a difference to the strategy for the next wave of product features and system capabilities and establishing Enginuity as an expert on engineering and people skills.    


What you’ll be doing

As the Lead UX/UI Designer you will be responsible for developing journey maps, wireframes and prototypes to communicate interaction and designing ideas for both strategic programmes and streams of work. You will focus on collaborative problem solving and creating great customer experiences as well as planning and facilitating design sprint workshops, building and delivering presentations and communicating with multi-discipline teams and key stakeholders. 


What we’re looking for

You will have demonstrable UX/UI experience, along with generalist knowledge across design and product with a strong portfolio of previous creative delivery. Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, supporting user centred design processes and creating the material required to support user testing and concept communication. An understanding of low definition wireframing as a key step in the process of iterative design and knowledge of process flows, customer journey mapping and service design blueprints. You will have demonstrable experience in UX and UI design on cross-platform applications for mobile, tablet and desktop, knowledge of responsive and adaptive design and a background in human-computer interaction, or a related field. 


You will have strong analytical, critical, and creative skills with excellent communication skills both written and verbal. You will have proven experience of developing strong, credible business relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as excellent planning and organising skills with a can-do- attitude and a solution focused approach.  


Other skills which would be desirable however not needed to apply for the role

If you have experience of working in a similar role in an Awarding Organisation/Education environment and or have an engineering or manufacturing background this would be an advantage.
