Exciting opportunities have become available for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join TWI as Apprentice Technicians working in one of the laboratory areas. 

An engineering apprenticeship following a national standard with TWI provides the opportunity to learn the skills needed to become a fully qualified Engineering Technician and begin your career with world-class experience behind you. Our program combines on the job training alongside academic study (day release) at a local college and a generous wage throughout the scheme, including when you are studying.

The training requires hard work and dedication but will be highly rewarding and will equip you with the principles of welding and joining technology which offers a broad spectrum of interest and is reflected in the range of laboratories required in our world-class research and development organization. As well as a comprehensive training program, you will study towards a number of qualifications including: 

•BTEC national diploma in engineering 

•NVQ’s

•HNC 

•Apprenticeship certificate.

Travel: 

This position will require travel during the training period to the regional UK TWI facilities as part of the internal training program.
