Description of role:

TWI Ltd is one of the world’s leading independent research and technology organisations, with expertise in materials joining and engineering processes. We develop innovative solutions for real industry problems that can have a profound impact on the world and people’s lives. 

The Laser and Sheet Processes (LAS) Section, based in Cambridge, provides research, development, production support and consultancy services to a range of industries including automotive, aerospace, defence, medical and power. We run a range of projects covering laser welding, laser decommissioning, laser surface engineering, laser polymer processing and automotive joining technologies. To support sustained growth in LAS, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the team in the role of Technician.  

Travel: 

At times there will be the requirement to work off site both overseas and in the UK carrying out a range of activities to support the work of the technology group.

Security clearance:

You might require or be prepared for UK security clearance for this role.
