Description of role:

At TWI, we provide expert advice to industry on all aspects of welding engineering using material and joining technologies to enable our customers to design, create and operate the best products possible.

As part of the Human Resources team at TWI, you will have the opportunity to work within a fast-paced and engaging environment.  We are working towards hybrid working where you will have the ability to work both at home and from office base times during the week. 

This role reports to the Senior HR Advisor working as a team to providing advice and guidance to managers and employees on all employee relations matters.    

Key Responsibilities includes:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for managers on all absence management related matters providing support and guidance on best practice for supporting employee sickness in the workplace.  
  • Leading on any casework in this area with a solution based approach working as part of team with Senior HR Advisor and Occupational Health Advisor.
  • Supporting HR Team with roll out of coaching and training of managers in the absence management self-service platform on HR system. 
  • Supporting Senior HR Advisor with casework as required such as Disciplinary, Grievances Appeals and Consultations. 
  • Providing HR support on best practice with investigation processes and being responsible for the end to end process from coordinating meetings to supporting Investigation Officer prepare with Investigation reports for formal hearings. 
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in TWI to improve the customer experience of HR through accuracy and pace of delivery
  • Maintain a high level of communication with all levels of the organisation and positive impact on people solutions.
