About the Role:
As the Catering Coordinator you will work directly to the Deputy World Centre Manager, Operations as a key part of the Operations team. The main purpose of this role is to provide a balanced menu for guests and staff, preparing meals and to cater for guests and staff with special dietary requirements. This includes taking responsibility for menu planning, food ordering, meal preparation, kitchen safety and hygiene. You will also train volunteers in food preparation and kitchen tasks, catering procedures, safe use of kitchen equipment and machinery and food hygiene. You will supervise volunteer team members assigned to catering duties.
You will demonstrate excellent organisation, leadership, communication and time management skills. You will have a real appreciation of different cultures and the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds. In addition you will have experience of working well as part of an international team and have patience and a positive attitude to change. Equally as important is your ability to work under pressure and to have a passion for food and nutrition.
