Supporter Relations Team Tech & Data Specialist

Full-time,

£23,143 - £27,225

Based in Witney office

  • Do you have a heart for helping Christians facing persecution?
  • Do you have excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft office, and experience with a CRM?
  • Would you like to help bridge the gap between the UK church and the persecuted church?

Open Doors is a Christian charity, part of Open Doors International, a global NGO network which works in over 60 countries to support and strengthen persecuted Christians. Last year the UK base raised approximately £15 million to provide practical support to persecuted Christians such as food, medicines, trauma care, legal assistance, safe houses and schools, as well as spiritual support through Christian literature, training and resources.

We’re looking for a Christian* to join our Supporter Relations Team, to help us honour and build relationships with our supporters and inspire them to continue to support the persecuted church.

As the Tech and Data Specialist you will still be involved in the regular Supporter Relations Team Member tasks. In addition, you will be the first point of call for software, hardware and user error IT issues that come up in Supporter Relations and work with the IT Team for more complex issues. Alongside the Team Leader, you will also develop processes to measure, monitor, analyse statistics and evaluate the work of the team and the level and appropriateness of the service experienced by our supporters, with accountability for ensuring data is recorded, reported and used to keep track of the number and types of calls and emails made and received within the team.

You will be responsible for forging deep, long-lasting relationships with supporters across the UK and Ireland in several different ways. The primary communication channels are through the phone (making outbound calls and taking inbound calls), responding to enquiries that come in via email and social networks. There is also the opportunity to develop relationships face-to-face at events and summer festivals.

This role demands outstanding verbal and written communication skills, the ability to engage people from a variety of backgrounds, a keen eye for detail, strong IT skills and the ability to remain organised and administratively tight in a busy environment. Team members also offer to pray with supporters daily, through all channels and as such must have a heart for prayer. For an informal chat about the role, you’re welcome to contact our Inspire team leader or supervisor on 01993 460015.

If you are a Christian looking to make an impact and seeking a new challenge in 2022, we'd love to hear from you!

losing date: Sunday 16th October 2022

1st Interviews: Week commencing 24th October 2022

*There is an occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for this post to be held by an active, practising Christian who assents to our statement of faith.
