We have a great opportunity for a Solicitor or an Associate to join our Construction department. You will prepare and advise on standard form contracts for a range of construction projects, including new builds, mixed-used developments, schools, leisure centres, infrastructure projects and highways works.

You will have up to date knowledge of and experience in construction law and practice and detailed knowledge and understanding of the Construction Act, and ideally have a good understanding of procurement routes, with a focus on design and build.

It would be advantageous if you have the following:

• experience of non-contentious construction matters, ideally with some experience of construction disputes.

• understanding of the structure of construction deals, and the contractual relationships between, and roles of, the various parties.

• familiarity with the main standard form construction contracts, in particular JCT and NEC.

• knowledge and understanding of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

You must be bright, an effective communicator with the ability to handle meetings and negotiations with minimal support from a partner/senior associate. You will have a genuine interest in public sector work and a desire to learn and progress your career in construction or public law.

We offer competitive salaries and benefits in modern offices in the heart of Clerkenwell, London. We also offer meaningful flexible working arrangements with the ability to work part time and work from home.

We are committed to diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from all sections of the community irrespective of race or racial group, sex, sexual orientation, religion or belief, age or disability.

We make reasonable adjustments within the recruitment process and upon joining the firm to support applicants of all abilities.
