We have a great opportunity for a Solicitor to join our developing employment team with a genuine interest in public sector work. Our employment team provide a full service to our clients from local authorities, public bodies, charities, and small businesses.

The role

You will take on a caseload of contentious and non- contentious work and your case load will include:

• Drafting policies and procedures, agreements and contracts

• Employment Tribunal litigation 

• Redundancy, restructuring and TUPE work

• Advising on pensions

You will have the opportunity to work closely alongside the Partner in the team and take a lead on matters of your own. You will take early responsibility for your work and be trusted to get on with things in a supportive, collaborative and sociable setting.

About you

You will have up-to-date knowledge of and experience in Employment law and practice both contentious and non-contentious. Experience of advising on TUPE is desirable and experience of pensions would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be 2-3 PQE level with relevant post qualification experience.

You must be bright, an effective communicator with the ability to handle meetings and negotiations with minimal support from a partner/senior associate. You will have good advocacy skills with the confidence to represent clients at Employment Tribunals.
