About the role

Fashion & Retail Awards is a new organisation created to provide trusted assessment services to industry. As an independent offshoot of the Fashion Retail Academy, we have educational excellence and industry responsiveness at our core.

We are initially launching an End Point Assessment offer; this service will be extended over time, as directed by our partners in industry and our independent board. All proceeds from our services are re-invested in the Fashion and Retail Academy charity, which exists to inspire and develop the next generation of talent.

We are seeking Internal Quality Assurers, who have first-hand occupational experience and a firm grasp of best practice in assessment, to conduct quality assurance activities of assessments and support Independent End-Point Assessors (IEPAs) to arrive at fair, consistent and impartial grading decisions. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to broaden their existing IQA experience and to become a key contributor to the quality of our service.

About you

For success in this role you will need to be uncompromising in the balanced application of assessment standards, be able to apply and evidence independence of judgement and bring integrity to your approach. This means working positively with IEPAs to guide them through their assessment practice, escalating potential improvements to the way we do things and producing robust feedback to IEPAs.

This role would suit individuals with relevant industry experience and a recognised IQA qualification, who have the focus and propensity for the quality assurance of high-stakes assessment.

Occupational experience relevant to the following standards is sought:

  • Retailer (Level 2)
  • Retail Team Leader (Level 3)
  • Business Administrator (Level 3)
  • Retail Manager (Level 4)
  • Buying and Merchandising Assistant (Level 4)
  • Assistant Buyer/Assistant Merchandiser (Level 6)
