The Fashion Retail Academy (Ofsted outstanding) is a unique, industry led college. Founded by retail giants, we offer a range of exclusive Fashion courses with unparralled industry involvement to ensure our students gain the skills and contacts needed to successfully progress to employment.
Supported by and working closely with over 130 fashion brands, we offer a wide range of specialist fashion Diploma, Degree and Short courses, many of these exclusive to the FRA, for students of all ages with start dates throughout the year. Our courses are developed to provide our students with a combination of in-depth Fashion Retail knowledge and hands-on practical work experience in the industry.
Most of our full-time courses offer students a guaranteed work placement with a major high street brand, ensuring our graduates leave with a wide range of skills and experience and the fastest route into work. The FRA works to create the best imaginable learning journey and be at the forefront of delivering a tailored and forward-looking curriculum for every learner.
We are seeking a proactive Head of Wellbeing who is passionate about delivering a holistic student support and wellbeing service and is dedicated to doing the very best by each and every student, ensuring their success is at the heart of the service delivery.
The Head of Wellbeing will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive, inclusive, personalsied and integrated student, learning and wellbeing support service that includes, but is not limited to, wellbeing, counseling, coaching, additional learning support, and safeguarding.
The post holder will drive, manage, and role model a dynamic and passionate service,where every team member is genuinely committed to doing the best by each and every single FRA student across all curriculum strands. The Head of Wellbeing will also be the Senior Designated Safeguarding Lead for the FRA, implementing, reviewing and championing best practice safeguarding and child protection policies, systems and procedures.
The successful candidate will bring with them considerable experience of developing and implementing effective student support frameworks, systems and policies that enable the best outcomes and experience for our students It is essential that they have experience of implementing innovative approaches to respond to the changing support needs of students.
The post holder will have worked in a similar environment and must have a thorough understanding of the FE and HE landscape, in particular, as it relates to learning support, pastoral support, safeguarding and wellbeing matters.
In addition to being a credible leader, we are looking for a strong collaborator, who is comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team and will easily build and maintain good working relationships internally, as well as with key external networks.
