Competitive Salary

West End, London

We have a fantastic opportunity for SENCO and Safeguarding Lead to join our Wellbeing Team.  You will enjoy a high level of visibility, autonomy and impact, and we are seeking an individual who can recognise our existing strengths – but challenge our Academy to be the best possible experience for every student they can be. You will work alongside the Head of Wellbeing and other key colleagues to secure an exceptional climate for learning, putting our students at the heart of everything we do.

As SENCO you will be source of support, advice and expertise for staff and students, strategically leading our Learning Support Team to deliver best possible practice and experience for all of our students.  You will also be the daily operational lead for our safeguarding team, acting as a DSL, attending professionals’ meetings, and considering actions for individual cases.  You will work proactively with students to overcome barriers to their progression; signpost to and enable them to access high quality support; and provide front line proactive and reactive pastoral support.  This is a diverse opportunity at an exciting time for the FRA, where you will be involved in leading on the strategic journey of the Wellbeing Team and genuinely shaping the strategic future of both Safeguarding and Learning Support.

You should be a positive individual with a focus on building and developing relationships, experience of supporting young people and working with a range of stakeholders in a pastoral and student support setting.  The ability to be creative and to think out of the box will be essential to success in this role.
