The Fashion Retail Academy (FRA) is seeking to appoint a Director of Finance and Facilities. The post holder will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and will successfully develop, manage and lead the Academy’s financial strategy including planning, allocating resources, and maintaining robust financial health to ensure the Academy’s financial and strategic objectives are achieved.

The successful candidate will have a professional accountancy qualification, be qualified to at least degree level, and will have a successful track record in a financial management role (preferably in education), as well as proven experience in managing complex information to monitor performance, measure outcomes and generate the desired impact.

The FRA is entering one of the most exciting times in its history, with the largest capital project ever undertaken with a move to a new estate, twice the size of our current one, in the next 18 months. This provides an incredible and dynamic opportunity for the post holder to not just help us transition but to secure our legacy long into the future.

We have a bold and ambitious strategy in place with a range of growth and diversification objectives that build upon the success of our previous strategies. For the post holder, this will offer a rare opportunity to work, shape and lead in a fast paced, outcome-oriented organisation where no two days are the same and anything is possible.

The successful candidate will have in depth knowledge of financial accounting packages, preferably Sage Intacct, and a thorough understanding of financial accounting principles, planning and forecasting. You must be adept at providing astute financial analysis and guidance at a strategic level, with proven experience of funding streams and commercial income transactions.

We are looking for an ambitious individual who has the ability to motivate and inspire a team, who embraces innovation, and has a continuous improvement mindset.
