To support our ambitious and ongoing expansion and diversification plans, we have exciting opportunities available for suitably experienced and qualified candidates to join our expanding team as Lecturers, ‘Group Leads’.
This exciting opportunity is to teach our new online course in Buying & Merchandising at level 4. The role requires the successful candidate to be able to communicate a broad range of industry-relevant knowledge and skills to deliver the qualification. You will have 1 designated student group and be their primary lecturer and pastoral tutor, hence ‘Group Lead’; this is an exciting opportunity to develop successful and innovative student-centred learning, to nurture your students for success. The course is taught wholly online and requires evening teaching commitment on a Tuesday evening and twilight support via tutorials both group and 1:1 as well as supporting industry mentoring and forums.
As the Group Lead you will be responsible, with the support of our Digital Learning Co-ordinator, for the development of weekly interactive, audio-visual learning resources to support directed learning ready for the live taught session. Students will receive the resources on a Friday via our bespoke CANVAS site ready for class on a Tuesday.
The course teaches students the fundamental functions of Buying and Merchandising, this is a brand new course written in partnership with and from endorsement from industry.
The ideal candidate will have a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one upon appointment. We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an innovative and open-minded approach to curriculum design and development. The successful candidate will also be able to work flexibly given the nature of the course.
Please note that this role is a remote / online teaching position, however there will occasionally be times that you are required on-site at the FRA (London, West End) for CPD and training.
