12-18 month Fixed Term Contract

Part time or full time (preferably a minimum of 4 days per week)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, customer focused and detail orientated HR Assistant to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the HR team in an exciting period of growth. The post holder will play an integral role in providing the Best Imaginable onboarding and offboarding experience, whilst ensuring compliance with legislation and policy. Typical duties include:

  • Liaising with new joiners on pre-employment checks, starter paperwork, mandatory training and induction arrangements;
  • Maintaining the Single Central Record and mandatory training tracker;
  • Conducting HR inductions, coordinating the probation process and administering post probation employee benefits;
  • Issuing leaver correspondence, such as acknowledgement of resignation letters, exit surveys and P45s, ensuring a smooth offboarding experience for both line managers and employees.
  • Providing cover for the Recruitment Assistant on the role’s non-working days, and as and when needed.


The ideal applicant will have:

  • Experience of working in a fast paced administrative post, preferably HR but not essential (we welcome applications from graduates who have undertaken placement years or internships to gain their experience);
  • Demonstrable experience of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as the ability to quickly learn HR systems;
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to manage conflicting priorities, and an excellent eye for detail;
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for delivering a highly efficient, effective and people-centred service.

Salary:  

Circa £23-25k pro rata, subject to qualifications and experience
