About the role:

We are looking for a passionate, innovative and visionary Head of Higher Education to lead on the delivery and development of our current and future programmes.

Our current programmes consist of c.350 students across three degrees (Buying & Merchandising; Business Management for Fashion; Marketing & Communications for Fashion).  

Development of our future programmes means that this is a really exciting time to be joining the FRA. In our Higher Education provision alone, we have four new degree courses due to be launched in 2023/2024 and a further two planned before 2025, with student numbers due to rise from c.350 to c.500.  

The successful applicant will play a critical role in delivering our growth and ambitious curriculum strategy; they will lead and manage a high performing team to deliver the best imaginable experience for every student.  

The initial focus of the role will be the continuous enhancement of the student experience, and ensuring our course content remains relevant and aligned to the skills gaps in the industry, enabling the best imaginable foundations for scaling up our offer.  

The ideal applicant will have:

  • A comprehensive understanding of the Higher Education landscape and the challenges impacting the sector
  • Extensive knowledge of quality enhancement and regulatory requirements,
  • An innovative approach to teaching and learning.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Exceptional industry knowledge and experience, however, this is not restricted to Fashion, we would welcome applications from individuals with experience from any aspect of the retail sector, or other relevant creative discipline.
