About the role

The FRA has been innovative in its approach to Higher Education. Our accelerated degree programmes are unique within fashion business education in the UK. They are delivered over 2 years and include industry placement and mentoring opportunities. 

Due to our success and plans to expand our programme offer we have a need to recruit more talented people to join our Higher Education team and have an exciting opportunity available for a qualified and experienced academic to join our expanding Higher Education team as a Course Leader to lead our BA (Hons) Fashion Communications & Styling degree.

The Course Leader will undertake the operational management, planning, organisation, and delivery for the course, ensuring every student receives the highest quality of teaching, learning and feedback, successfully preparing them for roles in industry. As an expert in their field, the Course Leader will advise and guide the FRA on the latest industry changes, ensuring their course stays current and fit for purpose.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make impact with your exceptional leadership and management skills. This will be key to instil a culture of continuous improvement in every aspect of the programme, as well as role model teaching and learning best practice at all times.

About you

  • You will be a subject matter expert, who is passionate about delivering a highly industry relevant and student-centred curriculum. 
  • Your specialist skills will align with the degrees the FRA offer, including expertise in Fashion Communications & Styling.
  • You will have advanced knowledge and previous experience of teaching and curriculum development within a Higher Education environment. 
  • You will have strong operational management skills and a good understanding of quality assurance and teaching and learning best practice. 
  • You will have excellent supervisory skills, and the ability to lead, motivate and collaborate with course team members to ensure the effective development and delivery of the module. 
  • You will have excellent IT, digital and data analytical skills.  
  • You will have a thorough understanding of safeguarding.
  • Ideally, you will have a degree in Fashion Communications & Styling, Retail, or a related subject.

Salary:  

From £47,700 to £53,000 per annum, subject to qualifications and experience
