Schools Based Counsellor

Contract term: 6 Months fixed term 

Basic salary of £26,000 per annum, rising to £27,500 per annum. Additional benefits of generous holiday package, healthcare scheme, contributory pension scheme and more. Starting Total Reward Package, up to, £29,000 per annum.

ACT School’s has an exciting opportunity for an experienced counsellor. We are looking for a School Counsellor to join our team and provide a high-quality wellbeing and counselling service. This is a fixed term position for 6 months initially. You will provide formal counselling alongside informal one to one wellbeing support and group wellbeing interventions.

 This is a rewarding role which will have a significant positive impact on the mental wellbeing of our pupils. You will contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare, and personal care of pupils.

You will be required to work closely with teaching staff and Centre Managers to ensure that learners receive the required support as soon as possible.

The role covers both Caerphilly and Cardiff school sites and fits within the Care, Support and Guidance department reporting to the Senior Programme Manager.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
