The Coffey Group have a vacancy for an experienced Plant Fitter, based around the midlands and the South East and South West of Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing all sites, south east and south west of the country on the Water Network Management Programme. Mobile breakdown van will be provided

Duties & responsibilities:

• Diagnostics & maintenance of plant equipment and vehicles
• Service and repair of large and small diesel engines
• Good knowledge of hydraulics, electrics and construction plant required
• To carry out 12 & 20 weekly safety inspections on all plant and machinery as and when needed
• Ability to record detailed and accurate repairs information relating to repair inspections, completed repair jobs and the use of parts on our Internal system
• Must be capable of working to a tight schedule
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Good communication skills and to be able to liaise with site and workshop foremen
• Ensure high standard of quality on the works to meet the specification requirements
• Follow, adhere and enforce the company’s HSQE policies

Requirements:

• A qualification in Construction Plant Fitting or Heavy Vehicle Repair.
• At least three years’ experience in a similar construction environment
• HGV Class II License (Not essential but an advantage)
• Must have a full clean driving licence
• A valid Safe Pass
• Knowledge of welding & gas works an advantage
• Computer skills would also be an advantage
• Will be required to travel throughout Ireland
