Our respite service in Dyce provides fun, safe, enjoyable, quality respite visits for children and adults with learning disabilities.  As well as supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living such as personal care, medication and meal preparation our respite users like to make the most of their respite visit so you will also support them to participate in a variety of outings and activities, both within the respite service and out with.

Our current shift patterns at our Dyce respite services are usually based on a three-week rolling rota with a requirement to work a mixture of early, late and weekend shifts, including sleepovers.

This opportunity is benefitted for candidates with similar experience or someone who has care experience and looking for a fast-paced environment. You do not need extensive qualifications to begin your career with us. If you are caring, share our values, possess a positive attitude, and consistently strive to perform at your best, this role could be ideal for you. We offer an excellent induction and training programme that will equip you with all the necessary skills, as well as on-the-job qualifications.

Our services include permanent care, residential respite, supported living and care at home.

Our roles are interesting, varied, and while undoubtedly demanding at times, providing person-centred care and support is hugely rewarding. Experience is of course advantageous, however, those with transferrable life skills will be considered, where they can demonstrate how they could enable our service users to get the most out of their lives.  This will include supporting people with all aspects of their daily living, including personal care, medication support and housework as well as supporting individuals with their hobbies and interests and getting out and about.

·         Demonstrate a strong team ethic, share our values, have a positive attitude, and strive to do your best every day

·         Can demonstrate strong communication skills – written and verbal with effective interpersonal skills
